WWE’s John Cena explains his Oscars nude moment and how self-conscious he is.

Less than a day after WrestleMania 40, John Cena appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show,” where he talked about how seriously he takes the roles and opportunities that he’s been given, as well as his now-famous Oscars moment in which he was nude. When McAfee said that Cena doesn’t receive enough credit for being able to be himself in public, the 16-time world champion responded by saying that his objective has never been to be flawless.

I mean, I do take it seriously, but seriously, “IT.”Not me trying to seem cool, because if you do that all the time, all you’re doing is trying to chase an unattainable ideal of yourself,” Cena said. “Dude, I’m aware that I have a bald spot on the back of my head from flossing it during WrestleMania last night. You, me, and about seven out of ten guys all have them. I don’t care; that’s not who I am, and I’m not flawless.”

Cena stated that his goal is to always make every circumstance the best it can be, rather than striving to make every situation the best it can be. He continued by explaining how this connected to his idea for his Oscar entrance in his underwear. “Instead of attempting to manipulate each circumstance to make it appear the strongest or greatest, I consider each one to see how I might improve it. They say things like, “Ah, do you want to wear spanks, spandex, or a speedo?” when we discuss the Oscar incident. No, let me get as naked as I can so that Disney can claim it’s too “naked.” The following day after WrestleMania, Cena made one more appearance on “WWE Raw,” helping R-Truth and The Miz, the new “Raw” Tag-Team Champions, defeat The Judgment Day.
