Steelers’ Mitch Trubisky is Leaving the NFL….

As Trubisky progresses in his career, his play becomes less impressive, raising the issue of how many more opportunities he will have to establish his legitimacy?

The Chicago Bears selected Mitchell Trubisky, the second overall pick, in the 2017 NFL Draft, making him the most famous draft choice over Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. Except for his Pro Bowl sophomore season, Trubisky’s four years of dismal performance in Chicago led him to the Buffalo Bills, where he sought the guidance of Josh Allen and Brian Daboll.

With the Pittsburgh Steelers, Trubisky turned his backup quarterback position into a “starting” one, but in actuality, he was merely holding down the fort until Kenny Pickett, the team’s chosen successor to Ben Roethlisberger, could take over. Despite all the ups and downs in his career, Mason Rudolph was not prepared for the news that broke this week. Head coach Mike Tomlin stated that Mason Rudolph would start for the Steelers in lieu of Trubisky while Pickett recovers from an ankle injury.

As Trubisky’s play declines, and he gets further into his career, the question becomes: how many more chances will he have to prove he belongs?
