Swiss tennis player Roger Federer is staying at a five-star resort in Hoi An City, central Vietnam, while on a family vacation.
Federer and his family are on a private holiday at a resort in Dien Ban Town, which is roughly 6 km from Hoi An Ancient Town’s downtown, according to Nguyen Thanh Hong, director of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, who made the announcement on Monday.
On Sunday, images of multiple Vietnamese fans posing for photos with Roger Federer on Hoi An tennis courts went viral on social media.
In addition, a number of individuals posted images of Federer donning conical hats, claiming that the tennis player was in Vietnam; however, Federer was really in Thailand in February, together with his family.
Federer has not posted any pictures of his family’s trip to Hoi An on his personal accounts for public viewing.
Federer, a professional tennis player who was born in 1981, has won 20 Grand Slam titles. In September 2022, he declared his retirement from professional tennis.
