Rafael Nadal stated that he plans to compete in the Olympics, thus he will not be calling it quits at Roland Garros in 2024.
The Olympic Games and Roland Garros are undoubtedly the two events that the 37-year-old has marked on his calendar for this year. Contrary to popular belief, Nadal will not be retiring at Roland Garros.
Remember that the 22-time Grand Slam champion has hinted that he would play into the 2024 season if all goes according to plan. Since then, he has amended his claims, acknowledging that 2024 will probably be the last year because his body is no longer cooperating, but Roland Garros won’t necessarily be his last event.
As he stated to Movistar after his most recent defeat against Jiri Lehecka at the 2024 Madrid Open, he actually intends to play longer than that.
“To compete in the Olympics once more is my ambition. I’ve never claimed that Paris would be the end of my career.”

Both have stated that they intend to play doubles together, but their health has also placed limitations on them until 2024. With each match, Nadal appears more and more formidable, yet anything may happen at any time.
He tries to plan his schedule carefully since he is aware that one injury may terminate his career, but he definitely has the Olympics circled on the calendar.
