NFL Releases The Browns’ Playoff Prospects for Week 16.
In 2024, the Cleveland Browns have been leading a high-wire act, This season’s team issues have included four quarterback starters, shaky play, and injuries. However, this is the first time Cleveland has won nine games since 2020.
The Browns are now very much in the running for a postseason spot.
According to the Akron Beacon Journal’s Chris Easterling on Twitter, there are at least eight different scenarios where the team can qualify for the postseason this weekend
They all start on Sunday when Cleveland visits Houston to play the surprisingly talented Texans. C.J. Stroud, a rookie quarterback for Houston, is still undergoing concussion protocol,The Browns will face former teammate Case Keenum if he misses their next game in a row.
If Cleveland wins, that will set off the first domino that Easterling described, regardless of who takes the snaps.
The last few dominoes to fall in the Browns’ favour then start to fall, though none of them are certain to do so.
Considering the possibilities, it could be simpler for the group to focus on winning their next three games and allow things work themselves out.
Following their game against the Texans, Cleveland will host the New York Jets on December 28 before hosting division rival Cincinnati on January 7 to cap off the season.
Cleveland will have 12 wins in 2024 if Joe Flacco doesn’t throw any more costly interceptions and the Browns defence performs as well away from home as it does at home.
With any luck, they’ll be able to play at least one home game and make it to the playoffs with that.
