After nine years at Old Trafford, France international Anthony Martial said Manchester United supporters farewell with emotion, stating that the team will “always be in my heart.” The 28-year-old, who cost £36 million to acquire from Monaco in September 2015, made his debut at the Theatre of Dreams against Liverpool, scoring an unforgettable goal. However, injuries and accusations of lack of devotion from supporters and certain media outlets have marred his time at United. After having groin surgery in December, he hasn’t participated in a senior match for United, and it was very much inevitable that he would go.
