Breaking News: Ipswich Fans In Tears Due To…

Ipswich Town delivered a striker’s blow, sealing the transfer target’s departure elsewhere.

This month, Ipswich Town have been searching for a new striker. Even after adding Iraqi talent Ali Al-Hamadi from AFC Wimbledon on a permanent basis, it remains a top focus as the window closes.

Spurs recalled Dane Scarlett, Freddie Ladapo was loaned, and George Hirst is out with an injury. Despite their continued efforts to solve the shortage, Kieran McKenna finds himself short on choices at the top of the pitch during a busy stretch of the championship season.

Several names have been connected, including Jessic Ngankam, a German youth international. But the striker now has confirmation of a transfer to another location.

Ngankam is still in his home country of Germany, having signed a loan agreement with FSV Mainz that will run out the season. Since the decision was made official on Thursday morning, Ipswich Town can now formally rule out the possibility of signing another transfer target.

In a race against the clock

Every January deadline day is a busy one, as teams compete to seal big transactions before playing the rest of the season. Ipswich Town is the same, as they aim to add some fresh players to aid them in their drive for promotion.

Although Al-Hamadi’s acquisition was enthusiastically received, additional depth is still required at the top. Town will be looking to focus on their objectives today, but Ngankam’s action shows that things could not go as planned for the Portman Road team.

The Ipswich Town recruitment team is currently in a race against time to secure McKenna the second striker signing he needs, as they have until 11 p.m. to bring in new players.
