In the Netherlands, Akpom has had difficulty being a consistent starter since leaving Middlesbrough to join Ajax last summer.
Before the transfer market ends on Thursday night, the striker is eager to leave Ajax because he wants to be the star player somewhere else.
The former Arsenal striker is ready to go, and Crystal Palace is one of the teams interested in signing him.
The Dutch daily De Telegraaf claims that Ajax has only so far received loan offers for Akpom.
Ajax is only interested in selling the forward in the current window, thus they are not interested in a loan exit.
The Dutch powerhouses would not allow the player to depart before Thursday’s deadline unless they receive between €15 million and €20 million.
Ajax is eager to replace Akpom with a more seasoned player, therefore they also want the proceeds from a sale.
