Breaking News: Bengals QB Appoints….

Elite Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow Discusses New OC Dan Pitcher’s Prospects for 2024

By appointing position coach Dan Pitcher to take over as the new offensive coordinator in 2024, the Cincinnati Bengals have declared that quarterback Joe Burrow is the team’s quarterback of the future.

Burrow, of course, ended Cincinnati’s humiliating playoff losing run after leading the team to the Super Bowl in 2021 and the AFC Championship game in 2022.

Cincinnati will be depending on Burrow’s skill and ability for years to come, as he has established himself as a superstar in his own right.

Joe Burrow lauds the hiring of his new offensive coordinator

Even though Burrow is a gifted player, he would undoubtedly concur that skill alone hasn’t brought him this far.

Burrow was drafted into a favorable environment in Cincinnati, where he was surrounded by coaches who encouraged him and provided him with the resources he required to reach his full potential.

Pitcher is, by far, the largest coach on that list for Burrow.

“Our bond is as strong as it gets,” Burrow stated in a press statement.

Without him, I wouldn’t be the player I am today.

He has spent years getting ready for this. He works extremely hard and passionately at what he does.

Leadership is one of the best things Burrow has given to this Cincinnati squad, and it’s also one of the best things that leadership is contagious.

Pitcher, who joined Cincinnati in 2016 as an offensive assistant, has been a great coach, but Burrow has reached entirely new heights in his abilities.

The main thing that speaks volumes about Pitcher is the fact that Burrow’s strongest skill has been his ability to read a defense and make excellent decisions.

Burrow has one of the highest IQs of any quarterback in the game today, which helps, but he also has a strong work ethic in the film room.

He and Pitcher undoubtedly put in a ton of time there. Work ethic is one of the main concerns for young players entering the NFL, and after Burrow was spotted assisting the defense with their video study following his season-ending injury this year, you have to give credit to Pitcher for helping to produce the hardest worker in the league.

Taylor went on, “I’m thrilled for Dan and his chance to take on more responsibility within our team.

Over the past five years, he has performed a fantastic job of assisting in the development of our quarterbacks.

He has made significant contributions to our plan, and he will now play a bigger part. I’m excited to watch him develop even more in this new role.

It will be intriguing to watch how the offense develops under the new coaching staff and whether Pitcher will basically play second fiddle to Head Coach Zach Taylor the entire season.

Naturally, Taylor is an offensive-minded head coach who was a quarterbacks coach for his whole career until taking a position in Cincinnati.

With so many former quarterback coaches on the team, it’s safe to assume that the offense will remain the team’s main weapon for many years to come.

With Burrow’s rise, Cincinnati won’t be switching to a running-heavy lineup anytime soon, having not had one for decades.

The Cincinnati offense, led by Burrow and Pitcher, is poised to be among the most potent in the NFL the following season.
