After winning, Bears quarterback Justin Fields took a shot at the Cardinals defence.
QB Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears claims that the Arizona Cardinals lack track stars up front.
After the Chicago Bears defeated Arizona 27–16 at Soldier Field, quarterback Justin Fields instructed his offensive linemen not to hold because he was so sure that no one in the Cardinals front would be able to catch him.
“You know, just extending plays. Last week they did a lot of drop-eight stuff, so we were kind of expecting some of that stuff. But you know, they don’t have as fast of d-linemen, so I knew I would be able to extend plays and stuff like that,” Fields said.
“I think that’s really it. I told the O-linemen, like, yo, we don’t have to hold. Like if they break free, like, they are not as fast as Myles (Garrett) and the guys we played last week. The guys did a great job up front when I didn’t have to do anything.”
Fields was sacked once on the day. He also rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
Jonathan Ledbetter, another physical presence up front for Arizona, is now officially gone for the season due to a knee injury, per Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon.
