Sad News: Burnley Star Player In Critical State Because…

Burnley player Dan Sassi is set to join Blackpool after a medical examination.

Football Insider has been informed by sources that Burnley defender Dan Sassi is visiting Blackpool for a medical examination before making a permanent relocation to Bloomfield Road.

The 20-year-old, who moved from Stoke to Burnley in 2020, is free to move on because he is now far lower on the Turf Moor hierarchy.

Since moving to Burnley, Sassi has led the younger teams, but he will soon take his first senior football step with League One’s Blackpool.

The center-back signed his first professional contract in September 2022.

He has made frequent appearances for the Clarets’ Under-21 team this season.

Sassi’s contract with the team was originally scheduled to expire in June 2025, but Blackpool has now reached an agreement to bring him to League One and the promotion battle at Bloomfield Road.

The Uttoxer-born star was once named to Vincent Kompany’s squad’s reserve list during the previous campaign, but he hasn’t been selected for a Premier League matchday squad this year.

At Turf Moor, Sassi is ranked below center backs Dara O’Shea, Jordan Beyer, Ameen Al-Dakhil, Hjalmar Ekdal, and Hannes Delcroix.

Blackpool want to return to the Championship right away this season; therefore, they have added two winter additions.

With 17 games left in the season, the Seasiders are only four points from a postseason berth in eighth place in League One.
