According to reports from Belgium, Burnley and Southampton are reportedly in early talks to sign Benson Manuel.
As of right now, 26-year-old is “closer than ever” to joining the Saints, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
Burnley and Southampton are rumored to have held “concrete talks” in recent days and are getting close to reaching a deal.
Manuel would join the Saints on a paid loan, with the possibility of purchasing him at the conclusion of the campaign.
Tavolieri claims that the player sincerely wants to transfer to Southampton.
It is asserted that he “wants” it to be done and “chooses” to support St. Mary’s.
As of right now, neither the loan amount nor the cost of the permanent transfer are disclosed.
With just 100 minutes in five games this season, Manuel hardly appeared for Burnley and is obviously searching for a position where he can play with greater playing time.
