News Now: Burnley Fails To Sign…

SOURCES: AS TALKS FOR THE BURNLEY ACE COLLAPSE, SOUTHAMPTON IS PROBABLY TO SIGN A £12 MILLION PREMIER LEAGUE WINNER.

According to information obtained by HITC Football, Welsh international winger David Brooks will be joining Championship promotion as contender on Southampton’s roster.

Although Bournemouth has agreed to let Brooks go on loan for the remainder of the season, there is no commitment because they still believe the 26-year-old has a long-term future at Vitality Stadium.

Having made just two league starts so far this season, Brooks was eager to spend the remainder of the campaign on loan.

The former Sheffield United player, who has made 11 appearances off the bench, is set to go to Southampton along the South Coast.

After receiving a Stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis in 2021, Brooks had to miss almost eighteen months of football due to his illness.

Brooks was cleared to resume in May 2022, but he didn’t start playing again until March 2023. He is now carrying on with his profession as usual.

However, Brooks is currently in need of playing time, and Bournemouth is content to allow the wide player to contribute to Southampton’s attempt to gain promotion to the Premier League.

Burnley winger Manuel Benson has been a top target for Saints manager Russell Martin, who has been eager to acquire a left-footed winger this month.

The Belgian was great during Burnley’s championship-winning season the previous year, but he has had trouble finding playing time in the Premier League this year.

Although HITC Football is aware that negotiations for Benson ended on Monday morning, Southampton has been pursuing a deal for him.

Unless something changes at the last minute, the Saints have abandoned Benson in favor of signing Brooks.

Southampton has dropped just 12 points in their last 20 Championship games, being undefeated since September 23rd.

Right now, Martin’s team appears to be a strong contender for promotion, and bringing in a winger like Brooks—who cost Bournemouth £12 million in 2018—could significantly aid their efforts to return to the top league as soon as possible.
