The 20-year-old, who scored 18 goals in 42 games for the Bundesliga team in 2023–24, has been extended an offer to extend his contract. It is understood that bids have been made for the forward’s representation by Chelsea and Arsenal.The Serbian striker has reportedly received approaches from Saudi Pro League teams Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad as well, but he does not want to leave Europe, according to transfer expert Ben Jacobs. Before Sesko moved to Leipzig, Newcastle had a concrete interest in him. The player’s representation and the Magpies discussed the player’s possible 2022 transfer from Red Bull Salzburg. Since the youngster was observed at a Manchester United game last month, his agent, Elivs Basanovic, has hinted at interest on social media. “Just an ordinary day in the Premier League office,” was the caption Basanovic wrote on a photo he uploaded of himself at Old Trafford. On social media, Basanovic has already hinted at Newcastle’s interest. On the Pro Transfer Agency Instagram account, he first shared a picture of Newcastle International Airport with the phrase “destination?” and then he posted a picture of Quayside in Newcastle. The pictures were then removed from his Instagram story by him. As it stands, Newcastle’s only two senior strikers are Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson. The club will look to expand their offensive options this summer.
