An offensive lineman from Alabama made a decision to TCU Due to…

James Brockermeyer, a former Alabama offensive lineman, announced his commitment to the Horned Frogs on Twitter on Tuesday night, marking TCU football’s first move of the post-spring transfer portal window.

The brother of Tommy Brockermeyer, who transferred from Alabama to TCU during the previous summer and will medically retire from football after 2023, is the former four-star prospect from All Saints Episcopal in Fort Worth.

After supposedly receiving first-team reps with the Alabama offense throughout spring camp, James Brockermeyer arrives. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound player started every game for the Crimson Tide in 2023 while serving as a redshirt sophomore. In addition to playing a part on special teams, Brockermeyer was Alabama’s backup center in 2023 and made two appearances in 2022. After losing offensive tackles Andrew Coker and Brandon Coleman, as well as offensive guard Willis Patrick, to the NFL, the Horned Frogs are hoping to restock on the offensive line.
