Unimaginable: PSG boss Luis Enrique promises ‘total freedom’ for Mbappe

Luis Enrique talks about Kylian Mbappe’s role in PSG’s lineup before their match against Nantes.

With a late goal from Randal Kolo Muani, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Nantes 2-1 on Saturday to win Ligue 1 for the eighth time in a row and increase their advantage atop the standings.

PSG now leads Monaco by six points after Monaco’s 2-1 victory over Stade Rennais. Nice, in third position with 29 points, will play Reims on Sunday.

In the 41st minute, Bradley Barcola scored his first goal for PSG after joining the capital team in August when he found space in the six-yard box after making a solo run from the left.

Mostafa Mohamed leveled the score for the guests in the 55th minute from a corner, taking advantage of some shoddy defending to head past goalie Arnau Tenas, who took Gianluigi Donnarumma’s place due to suspension, from close range.

Seven minutes from time, PSG’s lead was restored by France international Kolo Muani, who scored against his old team by pouncing on a rebound after the visiting team’s keeper had saved a set piece.

It’s nice to see my former teammates once more. Being on the other side was an odd feeling, Kolo Muani told Canal+.

Today, we had to accept the three points. We were in control of the game and even if we missed a couple opportunities, we played some good football, which is comforting.

Borussia Dortmund of Belarus will host Luis Enrique in a crucial Champions League Group F match on Wednesday.

Kolo Muani continued, “We’ve been training hard all week for the upcoming match.” We’re extremely optimistic and aware that we have a tough match ahead of us.

We are really confident about playing Dortmund because we have a very strong squad.
