INTERESTING NEWS As Baker Mayfield Made Comments On Future With Bucs….

the quarterback made known what he sees in the franchise.

Although there are currently no intentions for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to sign Baker Mayfield through the 2022–21 season, the quarterback expressed his impressions of the team.

“It goes without saying that I was able to choose the organisational stability and familiarity with this place thanks to free agency,” Mayfield told reporters on Wednesday. “When you have the chance to make a decision, you look for that.”

“You search for that, then you maximise it and try your hardest. As he’s said in recent weeks, I’m just trying to take things one game at a time and see where it goes at the moment,” he continued.

On December 24, ESPN’s Jenna Laine reported that “sources told ESPN that the Buccaneers have not approached [Mayfield] about an extension.” In early 2024, Laine also noted, “that those talks will not happen until after the season.”

On the other hand, Mayfield is having a career year, logging 3,598 yards for 26 touchdowns against eight interceptions. His completion percentage is 64.3%, and his quarterback rating is 96.2.

In March of 2022, Mayfield signed a $4 million, one-year contract with the Buccaneers after being traded to four different clubs. His accomplishment has only enhanced his predicted contract worth for 2024; Spotract forecasts him to make $17 million a year or $34.17 million over two years.
