The Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs will square off in Week 17 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in a rematch of the previous two AFC Championship Games.
To be honest, when Joe Burrow was sidelined for the season more than a month ago, this game lost a lot of its appeal. Nevertheless, there are still many other objectives for both teams to pursue than just bragging rights. A victory over the Chiefs would secure their division for the eighth consecutive season, while a victory by the Bengals at Arrowhead would maintain their chances of making the playoffs.
I contacted Matt Conner of Arrowhead Addict, FanSided’s website devoted to the Kansas City Chiefs, to gain additional insight into the team, which has been having a lot of trouble lately. Matt and I talked about the Chiefs’ current struggles, the opinions of the fans, and his predictions for this game.
Among the most important points Matt made was that the Chiefs are a team that frequently shoots itself in the foot. He stated that they ought to be able to hand the Bengals a possible season-ending defeat if they can manage to stay away from doing that this week. See the full transcript of our talk below.
