Premier League teams were informed of the maximum price Everton could ask for Jarrad Branthwaite.

Not unexpectedly, Jarrad Branthwaite has drawn a lot of attention since joining Everton again in the summer.

The defender made 36 appearances for the Dutch powerhouse PSV last season after spending the previous campaign on loan there after struggling to push his way into the starting lineup.

PSV was one team keen to sign Jarrad Branthwaite permanently during the summer transfer window, and Manchester United was also rumored to be interested in signing him.

The 21-year-old did, however, go on to sign a new deal with Everton and has subsequently benefited from Sean Dyche’s confidence.

In the Toffees’ last nine games, Branthwaite has kept five clean sheets and forged a strong alliance with James Tarkowski.

Of course, though, the intrigue endures because of Branthwaite’s outstanding form. Manchester United may try to sign the center back to strengthen their defense as they continue to watch him.

Everton now has the upper hand thanks to the young player’s new deal, and journalist Dean Jones has speculated that they may want for at least £50 million in exchange for him.

Jones stated, You’d imagine like £50 million as a starting point for a player that is young, homegrown, and has a big future in the game,” in an interview with GIVEMESPORT. However, Manchester United is clearly fond of him.

He is one of the few Premier League players who they truly have an eye on for the future. However, given Everton’s current situation, a sale is not something the team can seriously consider, and supporters can only hope they are not lured to cash in.

Should Everton retain or cash in?

Only two months have passed since Jarrad Branthwaite committed to Everton for the next four years by signing a new deal.

The Toffees will attempt to cling onto their star player for as long as possible, even though the center-back deserves to be playing football at the greatest level and may possibly be picked up in the future.

If they decide to break ways with Branthwaite, however, the offer would be enhanced by a substantial £50 million price tag.

Considering that this is his first legitimate Premier League season, Everton would be lucky to obtain that kind of money for him. However, could they find a better replacement for him even with £50 million?

Although Everton shouldn’t be tempted to cash in unless he truly wants to leave the team, he appears to be content playing football at Goodison Park for the time being.
