It’s Dane Cruikshank’s second chance to play in the NFL. After finishing a minicamp tryout last weekend, the former safety for the Arizona Wildcats has signed with the Atlanta Falcons. On Monday, the Falcons made the announcement. The 29-year-old, who most recently appeared in two games for the Tennessee Titans in 2023, has played in portions of six seasons in the NFL. Tennessee freed Cruikshank in November. Cruikshank, a former fifth-round selection of the Titans in 2018, has played for Tennessee most of his career, with the exception of the 2022 season, when he played for the Chicago Bears. Cruikshank has 66 tackles, two pass breakups, and an interception in 54 career games. The native of Chino Hills, California, attended Arizona for three seasons (2015–17). He had 75 tackles, five pass breakups, and three interceptions in his final season as a redshirt senior. Cruikshank will go through training camp starting in late July, vying for a spot on Atlanta’s 53-man roster.
