The Atlanta Falcons selected Raheem Morris in the offseason to take over as head coach, and he’s quickly gained fans. Morris recently made headlines when he made a comparison between himself and Taylor Swift. Most likely, you’re curious as to how this specific comment came to be. Similar to how Swift and his partner, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, have been for the past six months, Morris announced that he and Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot were the new IT couple when they were addressing the media.“People are drawn to seeing it. Interest in it has increased. Right now, I’m Taylor Swift, and Terry is, I suppose, Kelce. We’re gaining traction with this. In jest, Raheem Morris likened himself to Taylor Swift. It’s important to remember that Morris was joking around when he made these remarks. He is demonstrating that he and Fontenot have assembled a squad in which they are confident and proud, rather than really drawing comparisons between themselves and Swift. The Falcons created waves in the draft by selecting Michael Penix Jr. with their first-round pick (eighth overall) after pursuing Kirk Cousins in free agency to aid them at quarterback.
