Seahawks: Start ’em, sit ’em in fantasy football Week 15 could be a letdown for Kenneth Walker

We are adjusting our starts and sits for fantasy managers who have secured a postseason spot in anticipation of the 2023 fantasy football playoffs. Now that you have that taken care of, here are some suggestions for starting lineups for Week 15 that you might be unsure about locking into place.

The Rams offence has improved overall with the return of RB Kyren Williams, but Stafford has benefited the most, averaging 23.7 fantasy points over the last three games while throwing for 802 yards and 10 touchdowns. Stafford has destroyed the Browns and Ravens defences in recent weeks, demonstrating his matchup invulnerability. It looks like he won’t have any trouble facing the Commanders, who give up the second-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season (21.5). The victor of Super Bowl LVI is expected to score 20 points again.

In another demanding game against the Jets, Tagovailoa’s floor will be increased if superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill (ankle) plays, but he doesn’t have week-winning potential and might even be more detrimental than beneficial. This season, New York has allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks (12.5), and as recently as last month, they held Tagovailoa to a season-low 7.82 points. It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if Tagovailoa goes without a touchdown pass for the second straight game, whether or not Hill plays.

Although rookie Jahmyr Gibbs and Montgomery should both be started with confidence, we’ll concentrate on Montgomery because he has been held to fewer than 13 PPR points in each of his last two games. The Broncos have allowed the seventh-highest amount of rushing yards in the league over their last 10 games (1,339) and have given up the most fantasy points to running backs (302.7) this season. In addition, it’s important to note that Montgomery has averaged 16.55 PPR points and scored a touchdown in each of his four home games this season.

After missing two games due to an oblique injury, Walker made his comeback to the field last week. He led the Seahawks backfield in touches (12), but he was unable to have a major impact, only scoring 9.4 PPR points. Starting Walker came with a significant risk because, in terms of points per game, Philadelphia presents the toughest opponent for running backs (11.7). However, considering that Walker shares a 60-40 timeshare with Zach Charbonnet and that quarterback Geno Smith’s status for Monday is uncertain, it might be more prudent to go with an RB like Pittsburgh’s Jaylen Warren.
